Let’s get straight to it. I don’t trade all day. I trade when the market speaks and that means being present at the right sessions. Here’s how I structure my trading window, and why each session matters.
1. Asian Session — 00:00 to 03:00 GMT
This is where the first impulse often begins. Gold tends to show early directional bias either bullish or bearish during this session. If volume confirms and structure aligns, I enter and ride the trend calmly until New York.
Asian session doesn’t always give a clear signal, but when it does, it often defines the day.
2. London Session — 08:00 to 11:00 GMT
I don’t trade London blindly. If Asian session gave no clear direction, I wait for London to provide momentum. But if Asian already confirmed the trend, London simply adds fuel.
This session is active but not always decisive.
3. New York Session — 13:00 to 22:00 GMT
This is the most critical session.
Why? Because it often comes with fundamental news releases NFP, CPI, FOMC that can shift gold’s direction dramatically.
If Asian and London confirmed the trend, New York may consolidate or even reverse it.
I stay alert but I don’t force trades.
My Trading Hours (Standard):
**Asian Session**: 00:00–03:00 GMT
**London Session**: 08:00–11:00 GMT
**New York Session**: 13:00 GMT onward *only if clear signals remain*
I don’t trade all day.
I trade with structure and I stop when confirmation fades.
